“Building worlds is not enough for the sense that goes into depths: only a loving heart can satiate the mind aiming at the sublime”

(Novalis, Fragments, frg. Nr. 1790)

GRANI is Valentino Barachiniʼs new publishing house after he left the previous publishing firm named Origini that he founded.
GRANI not only kept the group of contributors Valentino had the chance to work with in these years, almost unvaried, but is also extending the working fields beyond the expressive means of photography and poetry, to other kinds of artistic and theoretical supports (sound, music, philosophy, video, anthropology and others).

GRANI thinks it is necessary to assess that behind every project, the concepts, sentiment, emotivity *nd intuition will suggest the necessary medium: each creative project has its own embryonic phase that will introduce to its peculiar becoming, its own morphological unfolding, its own arrival to a definite form.

GRANI considers its own mindset like an eco-system, like complex systems that develop in a non-linear, and rather in a three-dimensional and concentric time, that may live with simultaneities, synchronicities, epiphanies, lightning strikes, deep states of thinking. Like complex systems that develop their own communication system, their own language that needs to be listened to in its prosody, melody, undulation before being translated into any other medium.
