LA STUPIDITA'
LA STUPIDITÀ by Valentino Barachini
The book originates from the photographer’s need to represent the concept “art coincides with life” through the documentation of Alessandro Gaggio’s work. Although the photographs follow the photographer’s style and vision, they also serve as a record of the place where Gaggio lives and works, and of his artistic production.
The title reflects a concept that emerged in interviews with Matthew, one of Alessandro’s friends: “In order to survive in this sick world, we need to embrace and follow stupidity.”
Photography by Valentino Barachini
Text by Matthew Licht
The work consists of a paperback book with randomly inserted photographs, accompanied by a folder in the same format, printed on old paper and stapled.
Closed format: 24×15 cm
Edition of 100 copies, of which 15 are hardback with a photograph printed on polythene paper
All copies are numbered and signed by the author
