LE SUTURE
LE SUTURE by Gianni Romano
The work brings together three hybrid texts in search of an impossible coexistence with their respective aftermaths.
A suspension of judgment in the name of an uneasy yet necessary way of living.
Devils on the run, cuts re-stitched in the penumbra, awakenings in the mire: residues of survival through error and contamination.
Gianni Romano, born in Sicily, has lived in Florence for nearly twenty years. He works in the music world organizing events, before returning to his very first love: writing.
He tells short stories for Gori-Romano, an illustrated narrative duo born on Instagram in September 2020, with whom he has published several self-produced works. Their projects have been featured in the online magazine Doppia Esposizione and in the printed anthology Friscospeaks.
In March 2023 he published his first novella, Ventrile, in a limited edition with Bookabook, followed on May 29 of the same year by Fujire è vergogna, a short-story collection published by Catartica Edizioni in collaboration with UR Suoni, a record label that curated a compilation of tracks accompanying the individual stories.
