LEZIONI DI TENEBRE by Valentino Barachini
The Lessons service had to “begin in such a way as to end after sunset,” hence the name Tenebre (darkness). These services take on a character of mourning, sadness, and pain. The full text of the Lessons retraces the last moments of Jesus’ life.
This is Valentino Barachini’s last photographic work, published in an edition of 15 copies using found paper. Each copy, numbered and signed, contains a photograph printed in a darkroom on polythene paper.
