LUNGO I MARGINI DEL MONDO
LUNGO I MARGINI DEL MONDO by Gianluca Ceccarini e Nahid Rezashateri.
We are always on the edge of a world in which the colors of reality and the black-and-white reality of the mind alternate. This creates a continuous connection between correspondences of very different natures. Music and sound expand the possibilities of interrelation.
From the presentation by Tim Ingold:
“It takes a while for my eyes to adjust to the achromatic world in which I now find myself. At first, with the gaudy world of colours still fresh in my memory, nothing seems real. Everywhere, I think I see phantoms, ghostly reminders of a past I thought I knew. But gradually, as the memory begins to fade, it dawns on me that all the while, in that old world, it was I who had been deceived—not, as science would have it, by mistaking what was in fact a picture in my mind for the world itself, but more fundamentally, into thinking that a world of objects already exists ‘out there’ for me, as a knowing subject, to perceive and interpret. For in the new reality in which I am now immersed, mind and world are one.”
Released alongside the book is an LP of electronic music by the group Damavand, formed by Gianluca Ceccarini and Alessandro Ciccarelli, featuring Tetsuroh Konishi.
