Eros is intoxication and awareness, enthusiasm and knowledge. Tenderness and violence arise from a dance that is both animal and divine, imposing on the viewer an involvement beyond the intellectual—an immersion in the living, a manifestation of the power that generates forms. An initiatic journey, after which we will never be the same again.

This photographic material by Lorenzo Castore is part of the shooting for a film. The book presents photographs and stills from Super 8 films taken in Calcutta, Venice, and Rome in January, June, and October 2020. The protagonist is Alice Raffaelli, photographed and filmed during performance sessions arising from an idea by Lorenzo Castore.

The book is available in three editions. The Trade Edition is 125 copies, numbered and signed, in a compact 16 × 23 cm format. The Special Edition is 12 copies, numbered and signed, in a larger 32 × 48 cm format. The De Luxe Edition comprises 23 copies in a black box, each including a film directed and shot by the author and a signed print.

Finished printing in October 2022 in Livorno
